ooo I like that

it's a bit slow on the page load, at first when it the page loads for about a minute it's almost the default theme before the theme actually loads

on the display.template.php
the date posted runs into the post icon

:o  This theme looks beautiful. I can't wait to see the final product.

Looks nice. :)

One perrenial issue with translucent themes is making them legible enough to avoid eye strain when using them for long periods. Making them look gorgeous at first glance is the easy part, but it's worth testing them in prolonged use to make sure you have the balance right.

It has to cache a 657 kB background image on first view. ;)

even after that first view, moving from page to page it did it to me too and again after I went back to the site

Antechinus

I get a split second of FOUC on the body background when going back to the site, but it's fine for me when going from page to page. The FOUC should be fixable.

And I just noticed it has day and night modes, which is a nice touch.

Hi, you're right about dark themes, I put night mode to prevent this.

No, I meant the issue with translucent content backgrounds over a body background image, with the body background naturally having a range of different colours. It can easiy cause eye strain when using such a theme for long periods. This applies regardless of whether it is a dark or light theme.

It's difficult to keep enough translucency to make the theme feel translucent, while still keeping colour and contrast variations from the body background image low enough to make content easy to read for long periods. Although I suppose all of this should be easily quantifiable if anyone took the time to look into it.

I agree that dark themes geneally work better at night. Light themes are far more tolerant of a range of different lighting.
