Need a little help on themes and alignment

Hello all new to all this, so can anyone help?
Ive managed to install the forum all ok, I can work it, just need help on centering the forum, making it a certain width size in pixels (say 740) and im looking for a template which allows a top banner graphic 740 width and about 120  height, (the colours are not an issue i can do that i think,  can u help a poor distressed flash user not a php man!!

Have you tried searching? I'm sure there are a lot of topics on changing your forum width.

Some themes have the option to set the width in the theme settings. As for adding a header image, that has been posted quite a few times. You just need to place it in the right place in your index.template.php file for your theme.
