SSO or LDAP Auth?

Good afternoon!  Has anyone setup SSO or LDAP authentication model for the forum?  I have SMF setup for a small group and trying to bring several products together that can share SSO and/or LDAP authentication.  It would be super awesome for an SSO experience.

It has been done on an individual basis, but no one has created a single, universal implementation.
