Can you restrict which memberGroups can see the NEWS feature?

Until members get their profile validated I'd like to restrict them from seeing the news at the top of the forums. 

Is that possible?

It says 2.0.5.  I have 2.0.18.  OH well.

mods made for 2.0.x will work for 2.0.18
you just might have to install using the emulate or might need to change a few things, usually you can find notes in the mods support thread if anything needs changed

aha, thanks. 

it works actually, though one group that has was set to have no access to see it seems to be tied to another group...like it's inherited; however, that group is set to unique permissions.  still investigating
