Hi Michele. :)

No I'm sorry. There will be no update.

For a while it looked as though some others might update it but that hasn't happened.

I won't be updating it sorry.

waris

I downlaoded it and test drive this theme.

Unless you are knowledgeable with programming you should not try to use this theme
as there are quiet a number of hiccups.

The theme will hang up and revert to the same page over and over and over and will not uninstall.

Anybody wants to try this theme please make sure you backup first.

jasidog

Seriously? What version of SMF were you using?

It is an ancient theme. Last version it was available for was 1.1.12

Arantor

Wait, people check the version before they use things? No, of course they don't...
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

Sorry Guys,

Endar as you said was meant for 1.1.3 and I am using SMF 2.0.3 [updated].

jasidog

Ah cool, no worries I was worried it was something more serious. :)

Diego Andrés

Theme updated for SMF 2.1.x
Thanks to @jasidog for allowing me to take over this theme.

For copyright reasons, some images and graphics were removed from the updated version.
PS: It might need some additional testing so let me know of any issues and I'll try to fix them when I can.

I installed endar theme

The logo is like this, but I want it to sit perfectly on the back and look the same on both mobile and desktop PCs.

https://www.ankarasutesisatim.com/catkara/index.php

It looks like this, so the landscape image is sitting at the bottom of the site, can we make the logo part like that too? or the logo I put on it fits perfectly.

Diego Andrés

To add it in the footer too:
index.template.php
Code (Search) Select
function template_body_below()
{
echo '
</div><!-- #main_content_section -->
<div class="upper-footer">

Code (Replace) Select
function template_body_below()
{
global $context;
echo '
</div><!-- #main_content_section -->
<div class="upper-footer">
<img style="margin-inline: auto" src="' . $context['header_logo_url_html_safe'] . '" alt="' . $context['forum_name_html_safe'] . '">', '

And then add this to css/custom/app.css or css/custom/custom_edits.css
.upper-footer > img {
  grid-column: 1/4;
  margin-inline: auto;
}

Thank you, but there is a bottom part, but I want the top main logo to fit perfectly, it will be nice if we can get it done, you can see.

Diego Andrés

I don't realy understand what you mean, could you describe this with a screenshot?

There is a picture attached. I want the picture I have translated in red to fit perfectly in the header where I have translated it in purple. I want it to look the same on both mobile and desktop computers.

thanks.

Diego Andrés

You need to add it as a background.

Add this:
header {
  background-image: url(https://catkarakoyu.com/forum/Themes/default/images/board_16_logo.png);
  min-height: 140px;
  background-repeat: no-repeat;
  background-position: center;
}
header::before, header h1.forumtitle, .social_icons:not(:has(> *)) {
  display: none;
}

I tried installing this tonight (twice) on a newly upgraded 2.1.4 forum.  It causes the site to load blank pages.  It's not writing anything to the SMF error log but this is being logged in the php error log:

[05-Aug-2024 21:30:51 America/New_York] PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected 'object' (T_STRING), expecting function (T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST) in /home/ourllife/public_html/Themes/Endar_v2.1/themecustoms/Theme/Integration.php on line 20
Line 20 in that file is:

    protected object $theme;
Any ideas?

Thank you!

Are you using PHP 8.0?

The particular forum for my last reply is running 7.2.  I can try 8.0 if you want me to?

Also interestingly - Another one of my customers installed this theme on her forum last night and it's doing the same thing.  That account is on a different one of my servers running the same OS, etc.  She's running php 7.4 at the moment.  Worth noting - She did a stock test forum install and Endar works on it fine.  But on the two forums I'm mentioning here, they were upgrades from previous older SMF versions and Endar doesn't work on them.

Thanks!

Yes sorry, the theme requires at least PHP 8.0.
I will add a tag to the page later to avoid confusion.

Bingo.  8.0 fixed it for the first one - Thanks!

For my other customer, she switched to 7.4 today and that fixed it for her.

Cheers,
Jason
