What was the last change/modification done to the forum before this started to happen?

honestly I don't really know which of the options I enabled or disabled in the admin section that is causing this. I have only one mods installed on my website and that is SMF Theme Toggle but it was working fine with it before.

I must have enabled or disabled some options in the admin section to triggered this behavior but don't really know which of the options.

I just noticed that the message, notification and quote button is also displaying endless loading... and never comes up too

I would deinstall Theme Toggle just to eliminate that possibility.

I would look very closely at the browser console for errors.

Looks like your forums is part http & part https, and the browsers are being cranky about it:

I would go back into repair_settings.php & ensure all URLs are https.

... and that is why I wanted the url. I expected it to be a bad path or url error
