Hi
I have moved my forum over to a new host
On the old host I had
Forum URL http://ukvga.org/forum
SMF Directory /storage/content/XX/XXXXXXXX/ukvga.org/public_html/forum

Now the new forum I have
Forum URL http://ukvga.co.uk/public_html/forumX
SMF Directory /homepages/17/xxxxxxxxxx/htdocs/public_html/forum2

How do I get the forum to point at ukvga.co.uk/forumX    (without the public_html) ?

I have tried
Forum URL http://ukvga.co.uk/forum but I just get a 404 page error.

(Note my domain is a temporary domain and I will rename the "forumX" to "forum" once I have dealt with all the errors)

OK, I have changed this in repair_tool.php
Forum URL http://ukvga.co.uk/forumX

and it points to this page in the web browser but I get a 404 error.
I have to type Public_html after the domain and before the forum directory in the web browser, which is not what I really want.

/public_html should be the default directory for your domain and not required in url, unless you've added a subdirectory with same name.  http://ukvga.co.uk/public_html/forumX/ is redirecting to http://ukvga.co.uk/public_html/forum/.  Without /public_html both urls get 404s.  Best guess is something is screwed up in your server directory structure.

Ok thanks for the reply, I'll get in touch with my host consultant about the file structure.
