Smiley Errors After Deleting

So I was adding a new custom smiley set and deleted all of the others ones eg the Fugue's Set and Alienine Set.  I kept only the custom ones.
Edit: The smileys are still on the server just the sets smileys are removed in the edit smiley section.

Got my new set setup and then I noticed I was getting some errors.

I have tried running a large upgrade and that did not resolve the issue.

This happens whenever I try to add/delete/ or do anything with the smileys.

Now the custom smileys still display and all, I just get a couple of the above errors when I go to add or edit avatars in the ACP.

Alright problem was solved by reimporting the smileys.   However that leads to a question... should I be getting those errors by simply removing the default smiley sets?
