Search results highlighting maxes out at 20 bytes

For example when I search "Finanzmarktkapitalismus" it highlights only up to "Finanzmarktkapitalis" and when I search for "χαρτονόμισμα" it highlights only up to "χαρτονόμισ". Using Sphinx.

I have looked into Sources/Search.php and Search.template.php but could not find some hard limit set there. Any ideas?
