question about custom theme

How do i go about changing the icons to be a .png image sitewide instead of .gif, which file do i edit. Also, how do i get SMFPacks Shoutbox to display sitewide, not just the boards page.

also, is there a place i can download SMF Default Theme - Curve, i've messed mine up before backing up and now idk how to fix it.

How did you mess it up? Have a look at the following wiki on how to recreate the default theme. It's the same procedure for Smf 2.1.4. too.

How do i go about changing the icons to be a .png image sitewide instead of .gif, which file do i edit.

It's been a quite a few years since I have done this, so I am not sure which files to edit. However I do know this would require edits in multiple files, as well as changing and renaming every .gif image to .png. This is definitely not a simple task, and will take some time.
