Looks like [move] tag was removed in 2.1.  Any way to get the marquee effect in news fader?

I believe Move was removed because the html code behind it was deprecated, you could perhaps build custom solutions with CSS or Javascript to replace it, but I wouldn't know how.

It's not "removed" exactly. It has been designated a "legacy" BBCode, which means it will still be rendered if found in existing content, but it cannot be used in new content. If you really want it back, you can remove 'move' from the $context['legacy_bbc'] array.

Correct.
I promise you nothing.

@Sir Osis of Liver I had some spare time yesterday so I developed a 'Move BBC' mod (hooks only) based on the Stupid Bouncy BBC mod by Antechinus.

It has 'Move Left' and 'Move Right' codes and you can see it working here.

Happy to submit it for approval if it meets your needs.

I know it's deprecated, it's being used in a news item on another old 2.0 forum and is still working there.  Found some css/js solutions, they exceed my attention span. :(  Will try GL700Wing's mod, if that's not suitable will try Sesq's suggestion, but it may not work in all browsers.

Mod works fine, running here in news fader.  Had to mess around with css to match colors (Ant's css is ).  More space top and bottom than original, can't find that, but looks ok.  Thanks GL.
