Wowhead just released this: http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=3464&p=35822

Good tip. But not best yet.
A parser would be great. Is the best in WOW Itemstats.

DarkCloud:

I had just noticed that you had updated the .7 to .8 like 2 min after I posted.  So I thought I would give that a try.. Much closer!!!

Although here is my process failure.

QuoteError in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

Not really will test your mod list and maybe I'll find the bad mod  ;)

It was the Youtube mod....  I uninstalled tried yours again and bam.. seems to want to install.. I'll repost when tested.

DarkCloud14

I've tested the YouTube BBCode mod and there I get the same problem.
After uninstalling that mod I could install SMF WoW Itemstats and after that I could install
the YouTube BBCode mod again. But I think there's something wrong with the mod anyway
cause I couldn't uninstall it without getting an error in Subs.php and I've installed it on a
fresh installed forum without any other mods..

Flooz

Done deal.. This mod is awesome Dark... Very nice work. Not sure how much I can send you.. But I will be donating soon.  Keep up the good work.

hehe thanks! I'm already working on another version which hopefully will
be more confortable then the current version. Also working on a new parser
system so people could easier add new parsers and hopefully I can get a
version out which will also work on Joomla, phpBB etc.

There are so many things that I want to change and/or optimize I dunno where to start :D
So don't expect a new version to soon, ok if smf will bring a new forum version I'll update the
current version too so you can install it on the new forum but I don't add any new features to
the current version anymore!!

Maybe here:

            'before' => '<span style="color: white;">',
            'after' =...

YouTube BBC replace this code.

DarkCloud14

Yep that's it cause I'm looking for exactly that in Subs.php
The serious thing is that I get an error if I uninstall Youtube BBC again
even if I didn't install any other mod..

I am exited about WoWhead support! Allahazham sucks.

However, it seems like WoWhead is only half working. I turned the default to WoWhead but the items still try to come from Allakazham unless i click on every one to get it to search wowhead.

Any ideas?

Sorry I let already existing items untouched so only new items will use wowhead..

If you want to update your current items to have wowhead informations in it, I'm sorry there's no confortable way yet to do that! You could use the following method to update an item.
Enter the following url into your browser and modify the needed informations:
http://<yourforumurl>/index.php?action=updatewowitem;item=<item id or name>;source=<0=allakhazam, 1=buffed.de, 2=wowhead>;method=< id if you use the id, find if you use the name>

You could also delete the existing items but that may cause a huge loading time the first time
you'll visit a thread with many items in it.. so I don't recommend it!!

Garou

Ive add an add on for WoW Itemstats that creates a bbc button to be use with the "[wowitem][/wowitem]" code. Click the button and it enters the code into your form for you.

You can find it at http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1022

The only small problem Im having is that when you install the package the item.gif gets corrupted.  ::) If you get a big red X where the image is suposed to be youll have to upload the item.gif manually to the "yourforum\Themes\default\images\bbc" directory.

You can pull it directly out of the zip file or get it here.

I have a problem where I have selected hxxp:wowhead.com [nonactive] to be used, but it is still using Allahkazam, even in new links.

Any ideas?

...I turned the default to WoWhead...
where is the option to change the default item source?

edit: found it after mulling over the source code. unexpected place for it, being new to itemstats.

can you send me a link to your site?

edit: I will PM the link to you.  :)

After playing around a bit more, it seems like anything that was linked on the site before is still being created as Allahkazam if we make a new link, but anything that hasn't been linked in the past (such as Steamy Romanance Novel, lol) is using Wowhead to link.
