I've installed smf 1.1RC2 and itemstats v 1.23 everything installed correctly but every time i attempt to put in a wowitem i get a CGI error and it also causes that thread to become unreadable i also tested it by doing preview and it yields the same error. I have tried so many different things any help would be appreciated.

the error is:

CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:

I also got this same errors when trying to post pictures & avatars in the threads. I have since fixed those issues by changing a setting in smf admin.

DarkCloud14

I think it could help me if you post what you've changed to get the other
problems to work... Maybe I've to add such an option to wow itemstats too...

Thx

when I use the ssi function new_boardNews() to show latest news on the front page of my site the mod does not work. It works everywhere else fine so I know its going to be something simple that I am missing to get it to work with my news board

I have the exact same issue - running version 1.23 on RC2

You need to add the following lines to the page where you want to show the items:

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://<yourboardurl>/Themes/default/itemstats/overlib/overlib.js"><!-- overLIB (c) Erik Bosrup --></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://<yourboardurl>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/itemstats.css" />

i use smf 1.0.6 and i cant install the mod..... :-[

is there a known issue with 1.0.6?

DarkCloud14

Haven't tested it with SMF 1.0.6 yet but the problem is SMF 1.0.6 is not listed in package-info.xml
you can try to edited package-inf.xml and change the lines:

<install for="1.0.5">
and
<uninstall for="1.0.5">

to

<install for="1.0.5, 1.0.6">
and
<uninstall for="1.0.5, 1.0.6">

after that zip everything again and try to install the package again...

DudeDuke

nope....wont install the mod.

DarkCloud14

What happens ?? Which error do you get ?? I hope I can get an update out at the end of
this week then I'll add support for SMF 1.0.6 but I'm really busy at the moment so you may
do the changes manually.... open wowitemstats-install_1_0_5.xml here you can see what I'll change..

DudeDuke

well, i use the german version but i get the error: Es sind keine Aktionen definiert! (no actions defined?)

i have no other mods and we restarted this forum in jan 2006 - i must be clean.

Here is a SS of where I hang up. This is from editing the version information.

DarkCloud14

@BaddAlaskan: ?!? I don't see your problem everything looks fine so far..
If you're try to get Itemstats to work with SMF 1.0.6 try to download it again
with package manager. I've just updated the package so it'll work with SMF1.0.6

If your problem is the FTP Information then I can just tell ya that its a problem that
should solve itself if you enter the needed data like FTP Server, Name, PW, Path ...

DudeDuke

got it!!  great work!!   :D

thx!

BaddAlaskan

Not sure, but I just downloaded the new pkg and I get to same screen. If I enter the ftp details, it just reloads the screen. I can't get past this spot.

BaddAlaskan

Ok, I figured out the problem. had to do with the freaking path. SM puts a full path in that doesn't work by default. I have it trying to link items now, but the mouseover keeps telling me alakazam was busy or the item does not exist. I'll see if I can't figure that part out.

DarkCloud14

If you're using the name make sure you use the exactly the same name like wow.allakhazam.com
cause the search is case sensitive !! Else try to use the ID instead of the name..

BaddAlaskan

Take a look. I've tried inserting the item ID and the name, case sensitive. Same result.

Ack,

I went into forum maintenance and clicked "Delete not found WoW Items" and it started working.

Tried that and still get:

Hmm I'm sorry but I really can't help you here. It's what I told Digital-Wraith. He said that it solved his problem.
I really can't tell you what else he did... I think it's better to ask Digital so he can tell you what else you've to do.
And then you post here in the topic how you can get it to work ?!?
Or I ask him for you and make it public ... I never tried the SSI functions .... Sorry
