The reason that those mods wont show the install link is because they have the install for tag in pscksge-info.xml that will stop the mod form installing in any other version of SMF.

I see, thanks.

SMF 7 is where it gets good. That has time travel. You can go back and post before the guy who flamed you. :P

What are the differences between 1.0.6 and 1.0.5?

Can we do something about that or we forget those mods?  :-[

JayBachatero

You can download the mod to your PC and edit package-info.php and edit the install for tags and add 1.0.6 where 1.0.5 appears.  Separate them with a comma(,).

My post has been skipped over twice now and many others responded to... I certainly don't take it personal, but why the overlooking of my questions?

Thanks,
Mudd

Stuart

I just installed the update and everything is working just fine. I did get an error though. For some odd reason it couldn't update my changelog.txt ?  :-\

Any support request please start a new topic about it in the support board and not post it here.  The reason for this is that posts get lost in such a big topic.  Thanks.

Awesome!

Would we lose our current installed mods when we upgrade?

My Googlebot mod uninstalled when I upgraded to 1.06, and when I tried to reinstall it, it said:

Install Actions for archive Googlebot_v104_smf1.0.x-1.1b2.zip:
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

Gee other peple seem to be discussing support related topics around the upgrade and getting answered - I didn't know if this was a problem or not having never seen it before. Sorry didn't mean to bugger your day.

Thanks - I had been thru that when I did a search of the forums to troubleshoot before thinking maybe it was a prob with the upgrade process. Now that I obviously know something is not right I will make a support post.

Hello,

Is anyone here who has installed the update without problems?

Thank you!

I just clicked the red tag where it informed me i need to update in the Admin panel. That was it... i did put into maintence mode though before i did this, showed me all the files and i clicked proceed. BANG updated to 1.06 even said it down at the bottom of the board. And it even retained my mods which i currently run like Tiny Portal.
