That edit will have to be entered manually. Another mod has probably altered the code and thats why it fails. All the edits for the ad mod are posted here at my site:

oh, ok..gonna try now that edit  :)

Bigguy

Install the mod first then download that file and apply the edits. I have to step out for a minute or 3 but I will be back. :)

sword_of_thunder_god

one question, do i have to edit all those codes or just the managepermission.php only?

Bigguy

Install the mod and then download the managepermissions.php file and do the edits to it then re-upload it. Makes you you make a backup of the file just in case.

Help I got this error when I edited it using the edits for ad_mod found on smfads:

Template Parse Error!
There was a problem loading the /Themes/default/index.template.php template or language file. Please check the syntax and try again - remember, single quotes (') often have to be escaped with a slash (\). To see more specific error information from PHP, try accessing the file directly.

You may want to try to refresh this page or use the default theme.

I already found out on my answer. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it again. Thank you great forum support.

Bigguy, i like the floating [Top] link on your site, would it be possible to post the code for that, or maybe email it?

thanks

Bigguy

Thanks....your obviously using IE if you can see it ??? I am testing this code to see what browsers it works in. It says it works in IE; FF and Opera but so far it only shows in IE. I got it at dynamic drive:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex5/jumptop.htm

It works for me there in FF but not on my site with FF just IE.

Bigguy

If you get it to work with FF please let me know how. :)

bassbass

Hey Bigguy, i had to take it off, and didn't have the chance to try it on FF.  the reason i removed it because it was refreshing the page every time you maximize the window, basically when i minimize the window to do others things and when i get back to it by maximizing the window, it refreshes.  some times i type something and minimize the window and when i gate back of course it all goes away because it refreshes.  have you noticed this in you form?  in fact i am going to try it out now.  too bad because my members liked it allot.

bassbass

Yup, it does it on your too.  its conflicting some how!

Bigguy

I have never noticed a refresh at all; it just doesn't show with FF. I wonder what it is conflicting with. ???

I have Ad Management installed but I want to insert adsense code inside the posts, like in this example http://www.awdforums.com/free-two-year-t1248.html, how can I do this? Is it possible to ad the code to the Mod itself to be possible make something like this?

Like an updated version of the Mod, or just tell me the code needed to be inserted and where.

Many thanks, great Mod.

Bigguy

As of right now that is not possible with the ad mod. I have had one other person talk about this and Jerm will be updating his mod soon. I'm not sure if this will be included but I might see if I can move the code around later.

I'm having the same, my ads under the posts check it you need to insect it directly to your display php template.

If you need help just reply to this post.

Dr Web

If Jerm updates the Mod to turn possible to choose how many ads we want to display and the ads change the place on every load of the page, it will be perfect, I use a great wordpress plugin on this blog http://www.dr-web-blog.com/seo/qassia-the-next-internet-top-site/ if you load the page several times, the ads also change the place and I can use 1, 2 or 3 ads per post, I have no idea if this can be made, but, it's great.

This is the page of the plugin, just in the case Jerm wants to take a look.
