Hmmm strange,

I have not got AD management at the moment, but I tried the code in Simple Portal block and it worked fine.

You can try it in a portal block, to check if your not mis-typing anything, if it works there and not in ad management, then I don't know what it is, are other ads working for you?

The google ads work with no problem.

Thats very strange, it happening to me too, I never noticed it before, I use simple portal to display most of my ads so never noticed that, however, my Google Adsense works too.

Wonder why that's happening, I will look into it

With the exception of google adsense I tend to keep ads off my portals.

Anyway to rotate ads in the same spot?

I think I read somewhere to put two codes in the same area. But this just shows two ads.

I have ads from google, and ads from another site and would like to rotate them in an area between posts.

yes, is we would call an image, like "thelistener" is trying to do, you could setup some rotation PHP script with as many images as you need and instead of linking to an  a image you would <img ........image.php />

The two lines with * are the indicated errors, what can i do

TheListener

All it means is that the one section of the index template requires a manual edit.

naijapreneur

Does it mean i can go ahead and install it. Then how do i complete it manually ?

TheListener

Go to the page where you downloaded the mod and use the parse instructions given for the version you use.

Do you say i should install it in my admin area first then follow up with manual installation of the index template section ?
Or i should just go for manual edit.

TheListener

I would install the mod first via the admin area.

naijapreneur

Thanks, just did and it installed.

Hi everyone,

I have successfully installed the ad management mod.  However I am running the 'Mesh" theme with Tiny Portal v0.9.8 and SMF 1.1.10.  I was wondering if someone could provide me with the exact edits to get it to work in the Mesh Theme.  I took a look at the manual edits done to the default theme however they do not mimic the files in Mesh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ah, okay, I have no idea how to do that, I guess I'd have to research it unless anyone has a quick code on hand they'd like to share?

the code widely available, just search this forum for rotate script, you'll find it, if you plan on using this for a main header banner, I believe there is a mod just for that purpose

Yeah, I think in the past I had found a few php scripts like that...somewhere.

Was only planning on using it between posts via this mod.

EDIT: I found that if I put say three different ads, in three different boxes, then gave them the same # in "Display ads within posts" that they would rotate and there was no need for other code.
