Is there anyway to add an ad directly inside the post, I saw that on Vbulletin, where they add "300 X 250" ads next to the first post, right side of the messages, not under it.

would love to do something like that on my forum.

vbgamer45

There is an option to make ads look like a post. I believe under settings. Otherwise in Ad Seller Pro I have option to insert an ad inside a post.

hey guys i created two ads, one showing on top and bottom, the other one on the left of the forum, however, second ad had a bad code, so it corrupted the delecte section in admin panel, so unstalled the mod and reinstalled it thinking it delelte de ads automatically, however every time i reinstall the mod it brings back the old ads the ad panel,  so how do I get rid the ads?

vbgamer45

Go into phpmyadmin and open up the smf_ads table and truncate it or delete the entry for the ad.

It's not an option in Ad manager.

Could you please post the trick here? I don't need the ad sellers pro.

thanks a lot.

You would need to modify the display.template.php and insert the ad code to get that to work.

Hopefully this is the right place to post this.

I can't display ads.

Version:RC3

Default template you can see the ads but when I change themes I do not see them anymore. What do I have to do to get them to show?

Theme: DS Natural

Thanks for your help in advance.

You would need to make modifications to the custom themes. You would need to do the theme edits.

In a nutshell:

1- Parse the mod for your version where you downloaded it here:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=255

2- Wherever you see an edit that starts with ./Themes/, do that edit on all your other themes in order for it to be used on that theme.  (If your custom theme does not have that php file, it will pull from the default edit, so no need to do that edit.)

GMCbris, what sort of parse errors, and where in the file?
Quote from: vbgamer45 on May 23, 2010, 10:30:22 AM
File looks ok didn't see any php parse errors in it.
Ummmm

Would you believe I upped the file that doesnt have the problems

I am a dill

The issue I am having is this

when looking for this (from the Installation Instructions for 1.1.11)

</td></tr>';
}

my template doesnt have this exact code - and no matter what I try to insert the required piece of code I get a parse error

I am a novice coder at best, so what I have tried is obviously on the wrong track

Can someone try insert the required code for me

I would appreciate the assistance

Cheers and thanks for getting to me!!

GMCbris

Hi did anyone look at my file and see where I add the code?

Cheers

GMC
