Keep in mind that these are "post bassed" membergroups.
Edit: I have checked the default theme, and I'm getting the same issue.

sword_of_thunder_god

sorry for asking this same question, but i really couldn't find the right reply topics for this...my questions are:

1.) how do i center the ads like the one shown here in the forum?

2.) how do i remove the smf logo name in the header?

p.s. I know there is already a topic about this but as i've said i'm having a hard time finding it so please kindly help me.

lonrot

1) Use the following code:
<center>the ad code goes here</center>
or
<div align="center">the ad code goes here</div>

2) Search the boards for the answer.

No problem.

@Bigguy, I checked my edits they seemed to be fine, thought I uninstalled and reinstalled the package again, used the default theme, and the ads are still there for the "post based" members.
Are you sure that the mod supports this?

Is it possible to disable ads for a "based off posts" membergroup?

Absolutely, its in the permissions.  this is how i have it set up

Not working for me. I've created a membergroup which requires 60 posts.
In the permissions I uncheck "enable Ads" but the ads keep appearing!
Try to uninstall other mods you install before the ad mod, then install the ad mod first.

sword_of_thunder_god

guys got a question again,...why is it that the ads didn't show up after i've install the aurora TP theme? do i need to configure something? please help me..

lonrot

Yes, you have to do manual install.

Use the Package Parser and select theme edits, then you have to modify the aurora theme files exactly as it tells you.

sword_of_thunder_god

oh, ok...thanks for telling =D, but there's a problem the version that the parser shows only smf 1.1.3 does it support the latest 1.1.4?

Bigguy

There are other parsers that are more up to date. Try the one in Sleepy's signature.

One thing, for "non post" membergroups such as administrators, moderators, the ad permissions do work.
But not for "post based" members. This is getting very odd.

What Theme are you using?

Bigguy

Check the index.php file in the root of your SMF install and make sure all the edis are done there.

is the person seing the ad in a membergroup thats not post related that is supposed to see them?

ie "post count 200" - no ads
"group xenophobes" - ads

most likely, if the group they are in will see ads, they will see ads as part of that group
