I had this mod working fine, but something changed and now my ads won't show up.  Not sure how long it hasn't been working, but I just noticed unfortunately.  As far as I know, I haven't added any other mods or anything that would have messed it up.  Any ideas?  When I click on the ad management link in my admin panel, it just takes me to the home page of my SMF forum.

Cant someone answer if this mod can be put on a 1.1.6 forum ? If not what must i do?

I tried it on a 1.1.6 installation and it worked like a charm. Just remember that the files you cant modify in in your theme can be modified in the default theme :)

Go to this page:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=255 and choose the first file to download - http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=download;mod=255;id=26580 <----that one for 1.1.6 and below chose the manual instruction for 1.1.6, and on that page it will show you the install directions and files to edit :)

try this at your own risk ... open the zip file for this mod that supports 1.1.5 and open package-info.xml
in the fields for <install for> and <uninstall for> add 1.1.6 right next to 1.1.5 ... save the file in the same zip package and upload ...
this approach usually works because instances like 1.1.4>1.1.5>1.1.6 are usually very small changes and mods usually work the same in both the editions (only in cases of minor changes). Update the install program and voila !!
If you sometimes can't seem to see an uninstall button for a certain mod, then try accessing the Packages folder in the forum folder by FTP and then downloading the mod file. Do this change (save a backup first) in both the install and uninstall sections and re upload the file through the package manager ... you don't need to re-install the entire mod. Let it go upto checking compatibility. Then come back and uninstall from Browse Packages option. Make sure all tests pass. If not, ask for support.

Hope this helps.

What other modifications do you have installed? Have you tried to manually install this mod?

knows_nothing

I installed this on SMF 1.1.6 using the Core theme and it works great!  Is there a setting to allow guests to see the ads?  I only see them once I have logged in.  If this has been asked before please excuse me.  There are 153 pages to troll and I just can't do it.

BUG!!

In the new version of the MOD for SMF 2.0 beta 4 the index.template.php is wrong!!
It lacks of the "Welcome area" code!!

You have to add this in the index.template.php instead of the code contained in the MOD:

      // Show the total time logged in?
      if (!empty($context['user']['total_time_logged_in']))
      {
         echo '
               <li>', $txt['totalTimeLogged1'];

         // If days is just zero, don't bother to show it.
         if ($context['user']['total_time_logged_in']['days'] > 0)
            echo $context['user']['total_time_logged_in']['days'] . $txt['totalTimeLogged2'];

         // Same with hours - only show it if it's above zero.
         if ($context['user']['total_time_logged_in']['hours'] > 0)
            echo $context['user']['total_time_logged_in']['hours'] . $txt['totalTimeLogged3'];

         // But, let's always show minutes - Time wasted here: 0 minutes ;).
         echo $context['user']['total_time_logged_in']['minutes'], $txt['totalTimeLogged4'], '
               </li>';
      }

      if (!empty($context['open_mod_reports']) && $context['show_open_reports'])
         echo '
               <li><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=moderate;area=reports">', sprintf($txt['mod_reports_waiting'], $context['open_mod_reports']), '</a></li>';
      echo '
            </ul>';
   }
   // Otherwise they're a guest - this time ask them to either register or login - lazy bums...
   else
   {
      echo '
            <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/scripts/sha1.js"></script>
            <form class="windowbg2" id="guest_form" action="', $scripturl, '?action=login2" method="post" accept-charset="', $context['character_set'], '" ', empty($context['disable_login_hashing']) ? ' onsubmit="hashLoginPassword(this, \'' . $context['session_id'] . '\');"' : '', '>

I have a major problem that I just can't figure and hoping someone can help me with.

I installed the Ad Mod on Version 1.1.6. All seemed fine until I went in to look at a post and received the following:

Template Parse Error!
There was a problem loading the /Themes/default/Display.template.php template or language file. Please check the syntax and try again - remember, single quotes (') often have to be escaped with a slash (\). To see more specific error information from PHP, try accessing the file directly.

You may want to try to refresh this page or use the default theme.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

syntax error, unexpected '.'

I have went trough the files and everything seems in place. I have dug around other places trying to figure this out and had no luck.

So technically my forum is down until this is resolved. It seems you can do everything as normal such as post, play in the arcade, etc. You just can't view any post therefor you can't reply to any.

Can anyone help me with this? My Display.template.php is attached which I am assuming is where the error is coming from.
