Hi!

I entered my primary website's header complete with .css <style> information using the Ad Modification Mod.  This forum (http://antiqueradio.net) is related to that site but is on a different domain name.  This seemed to work with the exception that the Simple Portal right column with recent posts and recent topics, etc. squishing things as the Simple Portal column no longer aligned with the rest of the board index but was aligned with the header instead.  I then increased the minimum width for the forum in the index.css code.  A footer related to the header worked fine until whatever point my problem developed.

My problem is that now, the only portion of the Ad Modification Mod that is working on the forum is the section for the top board index area where that head is.  Whatever I enter there works.  No other ad areas that I have tried will display any longer.  Oddly, ALL ads DO display in the window that displays when you are looking at the index.css code.  I am not sure at what point the problem developed as I was concentrating on that header only.  I changed that minimum number from 780px to 968px (related to my main site) and then back again and changed one color in the .css code.  All of those changes functioned as expected.  I also have a parallel forum that I have been building.  I copied it's .css to the 'broken' forum and NO changes were noted at all (except that font color changed)!

My question is 'is there anything that comes to mind that may be the problem'?  I looked at installing the mod but there are several errors noted and when I tried, a block came up that 'guaranteed failure' plus I am not sure that is the problem.  The forum is not in use yet so I could uninstall the entire it but that will obviated several hours of (replicable) work.  I just figured that I would for ideas ask prior to reinstallation of the forum.

The last question that I have is 'would your ez Portal offer an aligned top board index for a long ad header' and is there any way to get the header to the TOP of the forum (the Ad Modification Mod didn't work in the 'top of the forum' mode at any point for this header)?

I am installing the Ad Management mod on SMF 1.1.12 on FerryTemaV2 Theme. I got all the code manually installed buy cannot install the the code on Themes/FerryTemav2/Index.Template.php

The stuff they tell me to look for does not exist. I tried so many different things, and yes I backed up the original. If somebody could help me I would greatly appreciate it alot. I spent all day on this one code. And there is no other mods installed yet

I went through all of the maintenance functions and no change in my 'missing' ad status occurred and no errors were found.  I then started looking through files on the uninstall page with special notice to the ones marked as failed.  After I found the board index file changes, looked at them, and then closed them, my ads reappeared.,  I have no clue as to what happened.  No changes were made that I am aware of.  My install is working now although I am afraid to try placing that header code again although it is sitting in my files with no display positions selected.   Odd.

'quick reply on by default' should find it.

I don't know what theme code you need to edit it, I don't use this mod or the theme you mention. The mod's maintainer will install it for you for $15 if I remember right.

Hello,

2.6.3.4 and earlier Version does not show Ads in Firefox, in all Positions like IE did.
I use the default Theme.

One Example:
From the Main Page, i click an Board then i see the topics in the board, the child boards and so on,
but i cant see Ads in FF but all works fine in IE.
........
After clicking to went to an Board, i see the ads under the child boards in IE
They where inserted from the Mod in this Area: (MY_AD)

And so i cant se the Ad in Firefox....

This happend to all Ads i want to see in this Location.

So the Forum does not deliver the ADs on this Page to FF but to IE.

Cann someone give me an Hint to fix this manually ?

I guess that this could happend because the Forum handles IE and FF Output different and the Mod does not depend to that and only insert the AD in the IE Section ?

For Testing i inserted some echo´s in the "MessageIndex.template.php" at the Position where the Ads under Chilkd boards are inserted by the Function of the Mod.

That means everything is working fine and the AD Content "ahaaaa" is displayed .

That does not make sense to me since that is php code that is run on the server and not client side code so not sure how they would be different for other browsers.
