A way to show icon on username ?

Hey im looking for some help on how to show a small icon on a users name ?

what do you mean on username?  are you meaning instead of the username?

i mean for example on the left side of a username a small icon (a star for mods maybe) you should see that everywhere and in the "Whos online" too
