I have the following installed:

Joomla 1.0.8

Forum version: SMF 1.1 RC2 (more detailed)
Current SMF version: SMF 1.1 RC2
PHP version: 4.4.2
MySQL version: 4.1.15-log

Bridge 1.1.4 (SMF 1.1 RC2-Mambo,Joomla)

When syncing users from Joomla -> SMF I find that a password hash is inserted for the users' emails and the email address is inserted into the users' passwd field on the SMF forums. This would make me think that I have missed an install step and no setup a fields properly.

Anyone with ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I have this problem with about 30 users, I wondered what it was.  I checked the fix in the bug report thread, but I can't find:

administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.php

All I have is:

administrator/components/com_smf/smf.php

It doesn't seem to be a problem for new users, so it's a throwback to when I first did a synch.  I'm afraid to do a synch now in case it mucks up my current users.

Any more information and a fix would be fantastic!

No, you have:

components/com_smf/smf.php,

AND

administrator/components/com_smf/smf.php

There are two components folders in Joomla.  One is in your Joomla root, and the other is in your administrator folder.

Thanks Orstio.

If I change the code with the fix, then re-synch the users, what effect will it have on my old and new users?

Cheers,

Map.
