I would like to set my forum so that if people decide to type links in the forum, they will not be active. How do i set this????

sawz

there is an "Automatically link posted URLs:" in your admin section

look in Posts and Topics,,,BBC Code

this won't stop the actual url from being viewed, but it will stop it from being an actual link.

I have version SMF 1.0.7.

Does this mean i need to upgrade in order to set this?

I Hope not?

but if so what files can i replace in upgrading without effecting my original forum?

sawz
