nope... its not a mod.... just a feature enhancement. Where else am I gonna put it? The Avatar Gallery link goes to the same place as Mods link and Graphics link.

For some reason I think that the "Avatar Gallery" link should point to Avatar downloads. Call me weird I guess. I don't mean to offend but I am just showing common sence.

If you set this up to be installable witht he package manager, it would be a mod.

I'm not busting your chops, just suggesting you make it a package :P.

Thanks for contributing.

By the way, it doesnt matter how its installed. Anything that modifies the board is a mod. mod=modify=modification. I just can't understand why it has to be a package. Thats just extra work when its just a simple ftp transfer. lol  :P ;D

Well, it's possible to install a package without firing up FTP at all ;).  But, that's not ready quite yet...

Don't take it the wrong way, really.  Everyone appreciates contributions.  It was only a suggestion.

This is just showing up as a 138 byte corrupt zip file for me :(  Any alternate place to get it?

Which is akin to using a sledgehammer on a fly. It's a avatars directory - I'd rather unpack it on my end so I can vscan local and FTP it in so I know EXACTLY where the files are going... than rely on a 'convenience' feature that is a total headache to get working right...

But then, I have as yet been unable to get a single package to work so...

I mean, if he was changing stuff in /sources or /themes/default - fine, use packages... For anything as simple as a theme or avatar it's little more than mental masturbation for the creator.

wut wait?

Package upload failed due to the following error:
"Although the package was downloaded to the server it appears to be empty. Please check the Packages directory, and the "temp" sub-directory are both writable. If you continue to experience this problem you should try extracting the package on your PC and uploading the extracted files into a subdirectory in your Packages directory and try again. For example, if the package was called shout.tar.gz you should:
1) Download the package to your local PC and extract it into files.
2) Using an FTP client create a new directory in your "Packages" folder, in this example you may call it "shout".
3) Upload all the files from the extracted package to this directory.
4) Go back to the package manager browse page and the package will be automatically found by SMF."
