Can't trick it into installing via emulating another SMF version either.

That's because the author hasn't tested it on 2.0 RC2 and I'd be very surprised if it worked properly if it did have install instructions.

This sucks man...
But i'm waiting for an update or a fix, or something else to make this mod work. It is very necessary.

You'll have to wait for the author to fix the package then. It cannot work on RC2 no matter what you do without the author changing its code.

I have removed the RC2 tag from it for now because it isn't compatible.

Since there is no real description for this mod, am I to assume that what it basically does is (using the built in warning system), this mod adds the ability to have that information appear on peoples posts?

From the description and picture, yes, that is what it seems to do - display the warning level graphically on posts.
