Hi----See below for the error message i got, when i tried to install the latest version of this MOD on my forum. Anyone know how is it that my files are upgraded to 1.1.2, but not my database?

Database Error
Duplicate entry 'seo4smf_board_topic' for key 1
File: /home/razzscom/public_html/Packages/temp/install.php
Line: 44

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.2, while your database is at version 1.1.1. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I'm having trouble with this mod, my forum is installed in /forum, and mostly everything is working.
However, forms and perhaps other things [when submitted] kick me back to the very root of the domain.
I'm using SMF 1.1.2, and I think it's a problem with the 301 Header being sent..

Now what ?

What I do before every update is phpmyadmin to my database and remove all instances of "SEO4SMF" ... Maybe doing that will work for you. I believe this mod is still in Beta status, so you'll have to play around with things manually.

#1 I'll give an example. This may or may not be correct.

#2 Social Bookmarking

  • Social bookmarking puts some icons in the post that advertises that particular post on websites that collect interesting finds. Social bookmarking means that other people, including you, can put a link to your post on websites that collect interesting information.

#3 Sitemaps
Hopefully someone who can explain things better will come along shortly.

Quote#3 Sitemaps
Do you have sitemaps.php installed in the root of the forum directory? Example :: (for Google) http://forum.midessa.net/sitemaps.php ... (for Yahoo) http://forum.midessa.net/urllist.php . If sitemaps.php is 0 size, reupload it.
where is the sitemaps.php resource that I should reupload ?

Verve

I'm having trouble upgrading from 0.2.9.4 to 0.2.9.6.

I uninstalled the 0.2.9.4 from Package Manager.  I deleted all SEO4SMF references in my database.

I can still see the "SEO4SMF Admin" entry in my configuration menu and it will even let me click on it and it opens.   Is this really uninstalled?

I decide to ignore that and just proceed with the installation of 0.2.0.6. I get this screen:

Unzip the file on your desktop, and examine its contents. sitemaps.php is inside the package.
