I haven't seen a mod like this anywhere and was wondering something, I am not good with coding at all and even reading through the RPG MOD thread it still didn't mention what I was looking for. Is there or how hard would it be to create a mod that would allow members of boards (especially RPG forums) to have a mod that would allow a person to post through multiple accounts? Like if anyone has ever been to Sleezy board (ezboard) and how they have their ezsupporter accounts, allowing you to create multiple accounts using one email address, and then being able to use one single master account and post with the linked accounts.

Does that make any sense? I just hope I worded it right...

I had that mod, all it seems to do is allow you to put different names in the profile. It doesn't do what I am looking for. Thanks for the link though.

OK, how do you want SMF (or the user) to decide which post gets linked to which (sub)account?

A possible solution would be for the user to create an account for those categories or boards where he wants to post to; thus, some sort of table would be created for this user:

The Wizard of Oz (profile 1) -- in board 1.0
Luke Skywalker (profile 2) -- in board 2.0
Inspector Morse (profile 3) -- in board 5.0
Damien (master account) --  in every other board.

Every time the user posts in the forum, SMF would look into the table above and associate the post with the proper profile (name, avatar, title etc.), depending on the board where the post was made.

That is kinda what I was talking about. But could it work where you could have it where when you make the post before submitting the post, there could be a drop down menu for you with the 3 or four linked accounts to it and you would choose which account to make the post with. so in the drop down menu for your account only you would have the following profile names

The Wizard of Oz (profile 1)
Luke Skywalker (profile 2)
Inspector Morse (profile 3)
Damien (master account)

Then say you choose profile two, it would consist of what ever profile information shows on like the avatar used for the selected account, the titles for the selected account, membergroups for selected account. All that would show in the proper places when you make the post.

I think I see what you mean. One account, multiple profiles -- the profile/name to be displayed is chosen by the user before posting. Right?

That looks like something, not alot of information on it. Do you know if when you post it allows you to only post under one name, and in the post it doesn't show the other accounts, but it shows the mini profile information for just the posted account...

I am trying to think of a better way to show it..I don't have an ezsupporter account anymore on ezboard so that is out..

I may have to try this...

I plan to do a Multiple Profiles Mod sometime in the future, but don't hold your breath...

Sarge, I think this may work, I joined one of the sites that has this installed and it is what I am looking for...All I am hoping now is since I posted inthat mod's thread about getting rid of the World of warcraft information and adding in World of Darkness information to it....
If it can be fixed to fit my needs, then this is great..
