Visual Verification Not Showing - Have tried various things

Hello

My visual verification has stopped showing all of a sudden, it was working fine but now it has stopped working.

I did a search on here for possible remedies and so far I have tried:

CHMOD all files to 777
Checking if GD is enabled, which it is
Checking all font files are there, which they are
Checking to make sure I am using the default theme, which I am
Installing another test forum in another folder and seeing if it is working there, which it is, it's just not working on my real forum now.

Any ideas?

No changes were made at all by you or your host?

Can you post a link to your forum?

Post a link to your site followed by phpinfo.php (ex: http://www.yoursite.com/phpinfo.php). Just post the LINK itself (no need to copy and paste all the information here). If you can't get it to work, take a look here to see how to create one.

I haven't done anything recently, we had a server blip at the weekend though, would that have done anything?

GD Doesn't work on some servers.

I know but it was working until the weekend, so it has been working fine.

Yeah, these don't sound like coincidences. I would ask them and find out why it suddenly bombed out on you. They can't blame SMF for everything 

In the meantime, is it only happening in the registration page or everywhere else (like new users who try to send PM, if you enabled this setting it will give them the visual verification image before allowing them to send out the PM).

If it's only happening to registration, attach the Registration.template.php file here. Just want to see if anything changed there.

its happening everywhere

The server blip happened when my .htaccess file got screwed up when a parked domain was added.  Host says that would have nothing to do with the forum.

Problem is not even the advance vis verification mod will work now either and it is a real pain having to approve new members all the time lol

Actually just had a thought this stopped before the .htaccess got messed up as that was on Sunday and I noticed it wasn't working on Saturday morning, so that rules out the server lol

Any ideas?

Do you still have that .htaccess file in place? If so, have you tried deleting it to see if anything changes in the forum?

I stil have the file there but its been re-written

What files are affected by the vis verification? as I have 2 forums and it works on one but not on the other (on the same hosting!), I could do a comparison? lol

The two files you are looking for are Register.php (Sources folder) and Register.template.php (Themes/default).

Just to double check, is visual verification enabled in your Admin settings? Make sure the settings are correct and save it.

Check your Themes/default/fonts folder again. Do all the files listed there have a file size (in other works not 0kb in size).

right and just to double check I have just downloaded those two files from the other forum and uploaded them to the one with problems and it didnt work still

TP, bear moods and felblog, memebrs awards, display age.

felblog was the newest one added, it was working fine with the others and I am pretty sure it stopped working well after felblog was added too.

Still having this problem? Anything in the error log? Is this the case on the default theme?

Yes I'm still having the problem, nothing in the error log and yes I am using the default theme

Felblog disabled the image verification images in my Tiny Portal/SMF set up.
Try removing or disabling Felblog and see what happens.
