This mod allows a poster the option to embed a video.google.com video in a post through the use of the [googlevid=425,350][/googlevid] BBC (bulletin board code) tags.  The code it uses is XHTML compliant, this keeping with the forum's XHTML validity.

Its use is easy: simply plug the video Number between the [googlevid][/googlevid] tags.

Language Integration

To make the mod work with your language, simply open Modifications.*.php, where * is the language you wish to integrate the mod into, and add $txt['googlevid'] = 'Google Video'; to its own line in the file.

Hi I've got the YouTube version of this working but not this one for some reason!
It loads the box but it just stays black and will not play!

Question.
Will this MOD also play vids from http://video.google.co.uk ?
I noticed the link takes me there and not the .com site! I assume this is Google redirecting me as I'm in the UK!

Thanx for getting back but I got it working in the end but not sure what the cause was!
I reinstalled but that didn't work, then I just tried embedding again a few days ago and now it's working, very strange but ok as long as it's working!
I tried many vid codes so I know I didn't make a mistake on that, maybe just a glitch at that time!
Note. Everything after the = sign to anyone new at this as per instructions above!

Question:
Would be good if users could increase the size of the vid window or even select full screen as you can at YouTube or Google etc! Any MOD for this?

Of course I know the poster can set this when posting or Modify later!

You can modifit the standard to the max size of your forum.

The player used by Youtube/google on their own sites is not the same player that they allow users to link to.

So there is no full screen link.

Maybe this as I've had it installed for some time with several updates and it's still working 100% but I haven't gone to 1.1.6 just yet

Just paste the link into your post or PM's and job done, very nice MOD.
I think it converts past links but read up before installing, you can always edit using [/noembed]

This should work on any 1.1.x version.
