Ok, I just installed the bridge, last version available. Everything was installed correctly.

my website is: http://www.blacksungfx.com

click on forums to see the first issue.  For some reason, the forums want to go to the top of the page? the logo gets stretched, its odd really. the top portion should only reposition the logo to the left, and there should be no grey bars at the top of the page.

Now I had the joomlahacks bridge and everything was normal with how it looks.

Also, module positions are not showing with the forum page. I currently have activated the smo shoutbox module to be shown above the forum, which it did when I had joomlahacks bridge installed. now with the smfbridge, it seems it is screwing up the css and joomla module positions.

I am willing to give any staff here temporary admin to help with this if need be.

Let me know if you need more info!

I had posted an inquiry before about joomlahacks, and I went to it only to realize I should have never left you guys. Always the most well-informed support.

Thanks :)

It certainly looks like a CSS issue...

Did you try renaming some of the CSS entries in your joomla template?

my knowledge of css is little to nothing. so i cant really mess with it. all I know is how to change colors, lol

also, the joomla template has some special things in it that causes it to change backgrounds based on the time of day.

however, the joomlahacks bridge did not affect the css at all when I had it. but this bridge does for some reason.

I tried taking use smf css on and off and only difference is the logo placement on the joomla side.

any suggestions??

i really dont understand that, but i guess i will try

OmenX

ok, the css is figured out. I can edit it slowly from now on.

but however, what is the deal with not being able to see joomla modules when the forum is up? how do I fix this?

Kindred

Is your bridge set to be "wrapped"?
Are the modules set to display on the forum menu items?

lol, yes

they are set to view on all, changed to just forum to test all been done prior to me posting this.

forum is set to wrapped, you should be able to tell that from the link i gave you though.

any other explanation? as i said before, this is definately an issue wioth this bridge as I had the joomlahacks before and worked properly.

:)  any other suggestions? thanks :)

hmmm

I just clicked the already highlight forum to show a module and saved YET again, now it shows. I will test things a bit more.

Has this issue come up before with anyone else? It seems quite random.

OmenX

ok, I have resolved the issues.

apparently all modules were 'unselected' to be shown yet still published somehow.

I dont understand how that happened, after I had already saved them to be shown.

OmenX

kindred, i truely appreciate your help in this. thanks a bunch! :D
