Choosing boards to show in "recent posts" list

I have a couple of off topic boards on my forum, which I would like to exclude from the "recent posts" list

I would have thought this could be a click box in the board management section.

Any chance this could happen?

You can already do this with ssi_recentPosts...

Can you tell me how? I don't understand ssi Whenever I've tried to use it, I've just had errors.. or nothing at all.
