HIDDEN TOPICS---to show on Info Center

it'd be nice to have the hidden topics shown on the 'info center' and only can be seen by those who are given permission to see certain hidden topics, or members of that particular group where hidden topics are being posted.

how's that sound for you? is that a fair feature?

Assume he means topics in a board that a member group doesnt have permission to view.

maybe i didn't make myself clear. (by the way, i found out some interesting things with this feature)

say, you have a team of people and you want to share specific documents with them only, then this feature that comes in place.
1. i created a group called 'test' and added moderators for that group test.
2. created another group for team members only (not moderators)
3. i added someone to that test team using my admin power!
4. loged in using this persons id and i could see the topics i created under this hidden topic, no problem!
5. then i created a topic and it was shown under the 'Info Center' and it was ok! i saw it using this same ID.
6. loged in using another id and made sure this ID didn't belong to this test group
7. i didn't see the new topic under 'info center' and i didn't see the hidden test team either!

My forum has people from several countries and they are grouped in several teams, so i decided to have one forum and hidden topics for those specific teams where they can only see their own thing! and IT IS BEEN SO HELPFUL FOR THOSE TEAMS.

bottom line is... SMF is the BEST Message Board i have never EVER seen before and with this new feature my forum has grown and past the 130,000 hits in only 5 months. a lot of people were using yahoo groups or something like that and they moved once we found out how this thing worked and if you can see when i posted this question, i was already playing with the admin features and finally I GOT IT! i blasted email members and now i have several hidden groups using the SMF.

so IT is a very powerful tool that sits there in case you or someone else needs it!

Hmm... you mean that the Info Center should show hidden topics only to those that have access to them per their group permission? And those that are from other groups can't see them? That's how it works now, if I'm not wrong. I haven't really payed attention to that, but only makes sense that it does.

yeah it does make sense, i realized the new topics from the hidden groups are shown under the info center and to those WHO ARE NOT members of that group will not be shown, and that is powerful guys! and members of that hidden group can and will only see the new topics under the 'info center'

In summary: This feature is already included and is not really a feature request anymore
