Downgrade

Hey, is it possible to downgrade to an older version of SMF ?

for example, if i had 2.0 and wanted to go back to 1.4 without losing my members and posts and all, is it possible?

That would be possible only if you have made a backup for the 1.1.4. version prior to upgrading to the 2.0

Never upgraded to 2.0, Opened the forum right into a SMF 2.0.

So theres no other way to get the info from 2.0 and use it for 1.4?

@qmr55, I thought that above you were speaking hypothetically. I don''t see a C.M. badge under your name, so that makes me think that you are running an illegal copy of the 2.0 version. And if that is the case I will not give you support here and I think that the other people would feel the same

It is hypothetically, im still deciding whether to purchase, Charter Membership or not!

Just have a few questions about what will happen once i get it!

I dont have a SMF 2.0 Forum lol, im pondering the idea of upgrading    y so hard to understand?

Personally, I don't recommend upgrading just yet, 2.0 is still in beta, so there are still bugs to get out, a vast majority of mods are incompatible, and there are currently no themes compatible except the three that come packaged.

If you do upgrade, then the only way to downgrade to 1.1.4 is to use a backup if any issues were to occur.
