[Accepted] Custom Titles and stars!

Something that YaBBSE really missed and something I always wanted it to do would be able to make your own member groups but be able to give them their own number of stars, and be able to select what kind of star the user gets (like purple or gold, etc).

Is it possible to make something that does this for SMF?

That would be nice... I know you can customise membergroups alot more... but I dunno about that.
Would be a great feature though

Something else that would be a slick feature... especially being able to decide what type of stars they have. this would allow to have super member groups with better stars etc..

I've always found the Purple/Green/Redish stars on YaBB/SE/SMF really cool.
I occasionally get bored and do a "member of the week" or have a membergoup called "bostasp team" and I would really like to have a blue star as well as the purple, green etc.
If this comes possible, that's something I'll be doing... colourising stars

I'd like to throw in my support here.  By being able to specify how many stars, what color stars, and perhaps uploadable (more) stars - the star system (or whatever image we choose) would be awesome.

I've always found that the star system was rather stiff... having some options (and perhaps customizable stars or simply, more stars) would make the membergroup / star / rating system of the board even better.

I have always looked at the stars being like a reward system and a sign of Authority/senior members.
I know this would be a dream too far, but I would like the stars to be swapped for icons based on forum habits.. ie an Icon for x amount of posts , one for thread starters, time logged, member status- moderator/global mod/member groups etc.
each 'award' icon would have 5 stages like the military stripes system or something.... this way the stars would have a meaning of significance within each community.

Just out of curiosity, will this be included in the forthcoming beta release or did you guys decide to hold it back as a mod?
