I am switching hosts and new one offers Fantastico. Is SMF one of the options on Fantastico?

I've got Fantastico on my host and it doesn't have SMF...
It has Invision, phpBB and YabbSE w/ me...

no phpbb IPB and yabbse are the options for boards, SMF is based off of yabbse but yabbse is worse than phpbb but SMF is much better than yabbse.

I wish they'd add it, YaBBSe > SMF!  :P

It isn't although the Fantastico makers probably haven't checked the YaBBSe site. (I'm just guessing here)

No longer impressed with SMF developers or management.

Jeff Lewis is VERY busy right now...

This has been brought up, and Fantastico, as of last, was planning to put SMF on when 1.0 is released (stable) because they don't want to offer a beta product.  This is just what I was told, though.

Jay?

Okay, I have posted on the Fantastico forums about this topic a few day's ago.  I would expect it out in the next couple of releases as it was mentioned 5 months ago and 3 months ago.   They now know that YaBBSE is a Legacy piece of software and have grown into SMF.

I would expect to see if shortly, if not in the next updated release.

The OTHER main problem is Fantastico may release it within their package - HOWEVER if your host does not keep their files updated, you'll never see it :|

1) Fantastico is a huge program, used by many. Offering Simple Machines on it would give Simple Machines the acknowledgment that it deserves.

2) I found it hard to install when I first tried. This was mainly because I didn't realise that the database name was prefixed with your username but still, it's easier using Fantastico and slightly quicker.
