i am getting the following error if i am running my genceportal potal.php.

Database Error
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 14
File: /home/zeeshank/public_html/rangbharde/Sources/portal.php
Line: 261

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.4, while your database is at version 1.1.2. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

Go into your database via phpmyadmin

Go to the table SMF_settings
> Change "smfVersion" to: 1.1.4

What is phpMyAdmin?

is there any other way of doing it?

lordtron

Yeah you could always reinstall your whole forum. But just chaning the table smfVersion to 1.1.4 would be a lot easier on you.

Are you confused with what I said. Its pretty simple if you just know how to get into your phpmyadmin from your host. :)

There should be a spot for you to access your tables in cpanel. If you cant find it send me a PM and I  can always take a look.

You have to theres an option in cpanel. I guess your not looking hard enough.

The best thing to do is just search around for it I guess but it would be more logical for someone to go in and take a look for you and can tell you for future reference. Try looking at a few cpanel hosting tutorials it may help. Google is your friend.
