I just found out about SMF yesterday, and all I can say is WOW! I  had my new board up and running within a matter of a few hours (including adding features and setting up categories and forums).

I really like the package installer for mods. It makes board customization so simple and (so far, knock on wood) has refused to let me install any mods that wouldn't work on version 1.1.14.

There are tons of mods and themes available too.

And if it does fail, manually installing them is easy enough as well, with a little help from a package parser and the good people on this forum.
