font size under "user info" won't change

i cant make the font under "user info" smaller.
i had no trouble making the font a different face...but if i try to alter it's size on that line it wont change.
any help would be appreciated. thatnks for all the answers you've given me so far. i tried adding "font-size: smaller;" and it doesn't work.

What if you specifiy a hard size (like, font-size: 8pt;)?

even when i specify a hard size it won't work.

i found the culprit and fixed it. what i did was i fixed the font size for the whole table area and forced all of the "td" to have the small font.
