I deleted the babylon theme on my forum to save disk space but then tried to use the tinyportal mod. I am sure that the babylon theme is needed in the functionality of this mod because when i installed and applied the mod the links never show up on any of the blocks... and i canot access the simple functions of tiny portal. everything is up to date and running smoothly. I also have a lot of knowledge with code so wat ever i need to do i can do.

Welcome to SMF, TEREFEX

The easiest thing to do would just be to download an SMF install file and then re-upload the babylon theme and see if this fixes the problem :)

I edited your topic title as caps implies shouting and is generally a no-no!

I also accidentally deleted my Babylon theme. Does that matter? Do you NEED to have it? Does it affect your default core theme at all?

I have a test site with the Babylon theme still intact but if I copy it over to my live site won't I need to rebuild the board categories? Or are there specific files I will need to download in order to make sure I don't mess up the categories and the other themes.

OK, so copying the entire file over via FTP will be fine and not cause a problem.....right? Just want to MAKE SURE! ;)

that is correct  (just dont upload to the wrong folder say default and overwrite the files :P )

Any mods installed wont work on the new babylon until you manually add back in :)
