Visual Verification image is not showing up in registration

I saw you resolved it over at TP. For those that find this post later on out of the box SMF works just fine with TP and does not break the verification in any way.

Unfortunaltly it hasnt been resolved. Its something to do with the language files. If my server settings are on English everything looks and works fine, though if I close the browser and reopen the site. The txt for the mods are gone and I have no image verification, then when I reset the settings to english it comes back.

So I know it has something to do with the UTF8 and regular english, but I dont know what.

Hi Folks,
Have the same problem.

Did have the verification image showing, was working fine & now nothing.

Have uninstalled all mods loaded since then but no change.
Have turned off the visual verification until I an resolve it.

but I got the problem after unistall some mods :

When I check in the adminstrator and got the problem line from firefox :

Code Select Expand


The image "http://pulsarcommunity.org/index.php?action=verificationcode;rand=456204f91d78035faf45cb389c915572;type=1" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

How to fix this problem? I am having same problem. Setting forum to English language fixes this but I don't want that.

hi, i found some nice "bug" from this problem. If you set languange to "indonesian-utf8" (possibly happen in other languages than ENGLISH), the verification was not displayed. (I try to install a "new" one and try to change languange)...

I have two SMF (1.1.7) installations on the same server.

One using the default English, the other using English-UTF8,Chinese-UTF8 and Italian-UTF8.

The 'plain' language installation is working perfectly, on the UTF-8 installation I'am facing the same issue 

BTW: the only mod installed is Are You Human? 1.3.

Is there any fix to this problem?

I had a same issue with my 1.1.7 and 1.1.8 smf board. My solution was simple. Download full install package form simplemachine and delete your Themes/default/fonts directory and upload new one from full install package that your just downloaded.

Content on my font dir was some how corrupted.
