I am trying to embed an iframe link so that it will play right within the forum.  Is there some way to get this to work?

<iframe src='hxxp:embed.lively.com/iframe?rid=-1718304707910772162' [nonactive]; width='460' height='400' marginwidth='0' marginheight='0' frameborder='0' scrolling='no'></iframe>

Admins can use [html][/html] to include html.

Although non-admins can use for security reasons. (especially iframes)

Hmmm... I tried using the html tags but it still did not work,  This is what shows up in the post:

<html><iframe src='hxxp:embed.lively.com/iframe?rid=5652425683322391890' [nonactive]; width='460' height='400' marginwidth='0' marginheight='0' frameborder='0' scrolling='no'></iframe></html>

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

Square brackets round the html tags.

Hi! I am developing a SMF forum and I am in urgent need to be able to allow my  users (students) to embed html code in their posts. Everything from skype buttons to voice threads (voicethread.com).  you know: anything that produces a code for you a code to embed.

I see mods for youtube vids and a few other sites.... why is there not a general embed code tab? :(

I see I can do it as an Admin, but again  I need to allow this feature for users, please help!

Thank you so much!!!!

Need to embed things that look like this....

<object width="480" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://voicethread.com/book.swf?b=176706 [nofollow]"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://voicethread.com/book.swf?b=176706 [nofollow]" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="480" height="360"></embed></object><img style="visibility:hidden;width:0px;height:0px;" border=0 width=0 height=0 src="http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyMTkzNjMzNjcxNDAmcHQ9MTIxOTM2MzM3MDIzNCZwPTIwNjQyMSZkPWIxNzY3MDYmbj*mZz*y.gif [nofollow]" />

Please Help!!!

Allowing members to use html in posts would pose a massive security risk to your site and the server, so it isn't permitted in any forum software. That's why bbcode was created. Admins can put html in the bbcode html tag. If there are specfic object types you would like to allow, then install a mod for that purpose.
