Is there a mod available that allows for user integration between these 2 softwares?

ExcalibursZone

Well, this is the correct forum, you'll want a bridge to connect the two. Have you done a search for DokuWiki here? Or SMF bridge DokuWiki on google?

MXIIA

Yes, I searched Google, and this board, the most recent I found was hxxp:www.web-threads.com/downloads/dokuwiki-smf.php [nonactive] Which is a 2007 build of Doku, I was wondering if there was a more recent one.

ExcalibursZone

Not that I'm aware of that's recent... I mainly see people trying to get MediaWiki to work with smf. Hmm, and nothing in these forums about DokuWiki? Well, I guess if it doesn't exist, you could grab that bridge and try to modify it to work with the updated versions of SMF and DokuWiki, of course, you can ask for help in these forums. I don't run Doku, however, so my knowledge of how they work with their database is limited.

I don't really like Mediawiki, DokuWiki is what I am used to... I have used it a few times, most of my friends use it for thier sites... (but most of them run hosted IPB1.3 forums, or phpBB) I like SMF better... :p
I suck at php though <_<.

I know this topic is sort of old, but I stumbled upon it when searching for tips on how to integrate with Dokuwiki.

I hereby add a link to the Dokuwiki SMF integration page:

Hope that helps. ;)

Those instructions are for SMF 1.1RC1, which os several years out of date.

It is unlikely that the instructions will work with 1.1.6 without modification and certain that the instructions will not work with smf 2.0

this is a good start.

The small prob is that it directly writes to db tables instead of using the api, so when the db changes, it will break.

I would modify it to use post.php but there arent a lot of changes to make.

I would suggest either  setting up a temp site and give it a try, or ask in the [free] or [paid] areas for help.

That code has a lot to go with, so it wouldnt take too much to finish
My best suggestion to you is that you do whatever you feel like doing, for whatever reason you choose to make, without any required explanation nor justification. You probably will, so hop to it!

boo hoo!

That's what I figured.
I'll post an update to it when I get around to integrate it.  ;)
