Hello,
I finally have the bridge working pretty fine except for some details functionnality. I use Mambo, SMF and Coppermine.

I 'd like to know what I have to change and where so that when I poeple receive an e-mail saying that they've got a reply or new personnal message, well the link uses the bridge and not only the SMF part.

I mean, if I click on a link, it goes directly to login on SMF and even if I can login and browse in SMF, when I try to move to other places of the Mambo site, it does not show anything as all poeple have to be registred in mambo first !

So could I solve this problem. My site needs registred poeple so login from main site (Mambo) is OK but from link to SMF forum not.

In other words, the wrong login is being used from the error message screen?

That is built in, but, replies and personal messages have to have been made within the bridged forum.

If you have a notification set on a topic, and I reply from within the bridged forum, you will get a notification with a link to the bridged topic.  If I reply from the forum directly, however, the notification will have a link directly to the topic, outside of Mambo.

Do you have guest browsing turned off in SMF?  This will cause problems.

I have guess B(rowsing turned ON. Is this OK ?

You are right when saying that the link uses the smf bridge, here is an example:

http://www.mysite/mambo/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=49&?action=pm;sa=send;f=inbox;pmsg=13;quote;u=15

The thing is that thi slink send poeple directly on the SMF Forum which is good because the post or message is in there. But... yes, there is a but, remember that all my Mambo site is only for registred poeple. And by doing a direct login from with SMF( even with the link using the bridge), Mambo does not login the user so all my mambo site is locked and I can only see what is in SMF, no view on Mambo content and menus. I have the minimu Mambo laytout just like when I am on the main page and that I am at that moment only a guest. If I want to see the all site agin, I have to log off and log on again.

Seems like the only full entry point is my main page and not these links. Any idea... ?

Oh, I see.  You are logged in to SMF, but not into Mambo?

[EDIT]  --  I just registered and logged in to your site.  I can access all the pages without problems.

Wwhen you were log off the site, the link does only log in SMF and not mambo.
I did what you suggested Orstio and now it works with the limitation you mentionned but I can live with it.

"If you open Login.template.php, you can change all of the "login2" instances to "mambo_login", and that should fix that form so that it logs into both.  This comes with a caveat, however:  If you do this, there will be no way to login to SMF without the bridge, unless you go and change it back to login2."
