I'm saddened to hear it to as I would definitely use this mod greatly because my website is a music based forum. If in the future you decide to update or someone takes over the mod, please let me know if you [or the member that took it over] can add the features I suggested or if it's possible.

The feature you are asking shouldn't be hard with the createPost() function. You can try it yourself maybe.

Hey [SiNaN], you probably think I'm stalking you by now 
But its only because your mod's are EXACTLY what I need for my site.. .

I run a DJ radio site, and this mod is a dream in heaven... just discovered it..


AWESOME mod...


Wonder if its possible to make a new feature for it:
- if there is already requested a song, that you as listener wants also, that you can "bump" it by choosing "request this song too" , and the list would show number of time requested...


We run a house music radio, so its likely that listeners will want same song as some other listener requested, and we want to djs to see what songs, are requested most times


hope that makes sense


Additionally, but not as important as above, the option to leave a message at the request.
Like "Dedicated from Anna to her friends in Spain"

This sounds like another great mod. I have managed to get a pretty good cross-browser <embed>, but I have to "hardcode" them in. But maybe you can work your magic and incorporate this into your mod...

Oh well, we can embed but not all users can provide an url for embedding, I guess.

But I have another idea; while making a request, user will be able to give the embed url. When request is accepted, then it will automatically create a topic in defined board with the music embedded as you did.

SiNaN! My friend! ^__^ I've come to bother you again. And maybe suggest something.

I thought I would make another form field. Maybe a field that could use BBC or html. That way you could embed or in actuality for my forums use hxxp: [nonactive] or codes. But the problem being I have no idea how to do that. lol

It would work nicely considering I have smf gallery and downloads installed. Then I'd just be able to link them straight to their request. Maybe it would work right? I dunno.

Can you be more specific? Where do we use that field? Who will be able to add something to that field?

Sure can! Sorry for being vague.

In the drop down menu for the options "Remove, Change as Played, etc", you could make an option to "Fulfill Request" and when you hit go it takes you to a form field that lets you add bbc or html. Then you hit save or something and then in the "State" column on the playlist page "Played" could actually be a link that takes you to the file or topic where the embed is available?

Thanks! It just seems simpler than trying to work out embedding and uploading stuff like that. And if people have the downloads, gallery or are just able to embed flash in their posts then, there's the embedding they wanted. ^_^

I love this mod. Perhaps just to add on to nekoza idea.

We could do like people can request the song and there's a button to see the lyrics and also an embedded video clip on the side.

So something like a lyric button as well in which request, video clip and the lyrics are integrated.

Do you get what I mean?

I was thinking maybe the main button would be called "Lyrics List". Then admin can add lyrics to the list and also there's a section for "Request Lyrics" in which people can request for lyrics they are looking for.

Also when they click a particular song title in the lyric list, there won't be just the lyrics itself but also an embedded video maybe from youtube.

Make it like a music section in which they can "Request Song" and a form field for "Dedication" also if the website have a radio like mine.

It is really interesting because you see more people into music and most of them have a music section.

Hope that makes sense also.
