@Eva, please remind me tomorrow (PM okay, 12 hours from date/time of my post) if I forget to reply to you. It is my evening here and I am sipping wine before dinner, and not a good idea to be coding your files. :) I gotta have some down time and this is it. I intend to work a full day tomorrow and you are on my list. Gotta help them cute race driver chicks from Greece. Gawd is this a fantasy or what? :D

@Bancherd I can give you that Thai translation for WTF right now: "Huh?" ;) If you develop Thai or Thai-UTF8 language files be sure to post them and I can add them to the Mod Site. I sure wish I was having Thai curry for dinner tonight! :)

@Sabre, I hope your tip for couple pages back works for Eva. Whatever it takes to get those hot chicks back to racing in their throbbing high powered race cars is worth the effort. ;)

PMSL?

Sabre™

lol  I hadnt even noticed what the site was about.
I just saw the error, and pointed to a solution. lol

Nice site by the way Eva :)

Please be advised that The Rules version 1.08 is now available at the Mod Site. It fixes an error in the installation script which prevented the tab highlighting in SMF 1.1.6. This does not affect SMF 2.0.

Eva: Please download the new version 1.08 which should fix your problem. Please let me know how it works out.

Sabre: I gotta admit I have no idea what's wrong with you. ;) You visit a forum site featuring hot Greek chicks racing sports cars and muscle cars, and all you see is that The Rules tab doesn't highlight. :P Man is that site just too hot or what? :D

Would this fix my problem as well? I posted about 7 posts back. The theme creator of Camo Theme I talked to and said that mod should work with his.

*You added the uft8 part? I don't have a uft8 file there. I don't think I have uft8 enabled anyhow.....

Deprecated

No, this fixes SMF 1.1.6 the Rules tab worked properly but the tab would not highlight.

UTF-8 is optional. The modification has the file if you need it, but if you don't need it then it's just ignored.

What file did you put your language strings in? Modifications.index.php or what?

Im a young buck to coding, so when my thinkin cap is on, my mind goes one tracked! lol
Agreed! Definitely a hot site ;)  Was looking for a language selection to convert to english, but pictures paint a thousand words ;)
Now lets put it back in the drawer, and keep our lurking private shall we!? lol

I'm looking for the language selection to convert the site to Braille. ;)

/lurking=on

BillyBob31

the only one i have in themes/camo/languages/Settings.english.php

thats the only file in languages (Settings.english.php)

Deprecated

Well it wouldn't hurt to try, although I'm not optimistic.

Do you see my modification's settings tab in Admin -> Configuration -> Features and Options?

BillyBob31

No there is nothing in there for The Rules

Deprecated

Is your forum English language, and no UTF-8 enabled? It's sounding like you aren't getting your language strings.

You did install the mod, right? Automatically not manual, right? When you installed it were there any warnings or errors?

Try adding this to your site url

htt*://URL TO YOUR SITE HERE/index.php?action=featuresettings;sa=rules;

Do you see the admin section for rules now without text?
If you do, the possibility that you have UTF8 enabled is most likely.

Somebody sent me a PM saying that they saw I was online and wanted to catch me for a quick support question. Now I'm not online any more. Ever. >:D

I'm in Los Angeles. It's not even dinner time yet, although my dog has been reminding me for the last hour. ;)

Sabre™

LOL

You can look in your Personal Messaging section of your profile, and ignore all PMs, or just from individual users.
I havent tried this, but the option is there.

Maybe a mod idea is to only allow PMs from staff and/or selected users!!?? ;)

yes I get errors on all mods I try to install manually. I think I am gonna switch to default theme cause that accepts all mods, until I can find a army/camo theme that accepts all mods. Maybe with the default theme then I can install mods automatically.

Sabre™

99% of custom themes do not add the mod code to it automatically.
In SMF 1.x.x I mean.  Im not sure about SMF2.

Did you try the  suggestion on reply #151?
Saying you have or havent eliminates them from the process, so people giving assistance can move to other things.

Dont be discouraged mate.  Its all a part of your learning process :)

Yes it shows a few check boxes and text areas with no words when i add that to the end of my url

Sabre™

Ok buddy :)
Just to test, can you add the attached file to your language folder.
Now check your admin panel for any change

If that doesnt help, then can you answer these 3 questions?  Just to get up to speed.

1)You have manually installed this mod yes?
2)You have double checked the Modifications.english.php in your languages file?
3)Your code isnt in one line, as the parser on the download page often copies as?

Cheers :)
