Is there a way to delete all posts from a certain member?  If not, there should be!!!!!

I can find all the posts of a user...but when you do that, there is NO delete feature and NO delete all (which would be nice.)

The only way to delete all posts by a user is if you're deleting their account. Otherwise you have to delete them one by one.

Choosing remove "all posts" (or alternatively "topics and posts", but that might delete other members' posts as well) while leaving "Delete this member's account" unchecked under Profile > Delete this account (;sa=deleteAccount), should do the trick.

Is this issue resolved? If not, there is a messy way to handle this. You can keep the account and delete only the posts by going into the database and delete all the messages from the member. Then run a forum maintenance repair to correct the topics and replies.

Yup, that is ugly!!  hehe

I really hope this feature/mod will be added/done.   I can think of several cases where it would be very useful.  And FYI, I delete MY account on my site.. Yet, every post I made is still there..  The account is gone.  The user is gone.  But all the posts are still there..  Every single one..  So deleting an account does NOT delete the posts..

When I did it, and posted this question, I was using 2.0b3.1   currently using b4.  But yes, all those posts are still on my site..

There should be at least a 'delete' button for all posts when you search for all.  I think only time it doesn't is if it can't be deleted due to some reason like thread creator and replied posts etc.

On that note then he could add the Mod to change the Thread creator or poster that started it and then change it to him then delete it correct ??

I added and love that mod so far, real helpful sometimes for when people or spammers get deleted or post then delete there accounts and then leave there posts and such...
