It sounds like you have missed a step int he bridge...

did you change the login2 and logout calls in index.tmeplate.php?

did you change the string in english.template.php?

i have the same problem, and i've deleted cookies, reinstalled and redone the changes to the files from scratch. same problem persists.

when i logout, it logs me out of smf, but not mambo.

any suggestions?

ditto, I just haven't worried about it but I have the same deal. BTW "delete you cookies" isn't a good solution IMHO, that's a pain

Brandon:  Your problem is easily fixed.  It is just the fact that when you upgraded, the changes to your theme are overwritten.  That'll be fixed tonight.  ;)

I also think I missed something. Spent yesterday to adjust all the 1.0 theme files, but I still got this problem:

When I use the forum login, I'm logged into the forum and I can see in the module that I'm logged in, but the mambo users menu is not appearing. Everything works fine when I just use the module (which is positioned on my front page).

The other way works perfectly. I can login through the module and use the logout button in the forum menu to completely log out. What is it I don't see?

If you want to test this use this data: account: test01 / password: pandora

I just tried it on your site, and it works fine.  Corrupt session cookie, maybe?

xenovanis

Wow, you're quick! Thanks.

Yesterday I deleted all my cookies, maybe it's a Netscape problem. I'll try it from another computer and let you know.

Clearing cookies from the browser does not always work with corrupt cookies.  I have noticed quite a few times in both IE and Firefox that corrupt cookie information gets rewritten after clearing from the browser.  That is why I suggest closing all browser windows, and using Windows explorer to delete the cookie files.

I manually removed all the cookies, tried Netscape as well as IE 6 on both my normal PC and my laptop and still get this problem:

When I login using the login () button in the forum, my mambo menu looks like this:

I am really sorry. To me it is not a very big deal, but I really would like the login-procedure to run smooth for my users, wile some of them are not truelly internet-experienced....
I also tought of removing the login-button forom the forum menu, but when I do that the already existing smf-users won't be linked to mambo.

When I logged in with the test user info you posted, it was there.  Your problem is on your computer, not on your site.

Well, that's a relief. Thanks, I'll try to sort it out on my computer.

Edit: Problem solved by using Ad-Aware scan and removal.
