Does anyone have the Mod SMF_Wordpress working with SMF1.1.7

I have installed the wordpress side (WP_SMF) and now when I log into my wordpress blog I am also logged into the smf forum.

I am trying to get this mod to work for the forum so that when I log in there I will also be logged into the blog.

The version of SMF_Wordpress I have downloaded is 1.09

found it attached to a blog post somewhere

When I try to upload this zip file (attached) using Package explorer I get an error "The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted."

I tried to manually install it changing the files as per install.xml file, but it doesnt work.

Do I need a different version of SMF_Wordpress for smf-1.1.7?

If so where can I download it?

I cant find SMF_Wordpress on the mod site

On further investigation

if I register on smf forum, the user is also registered / can login to the blog
They are in the wp_users table and the smf_members table

If I login to wordpress blog

I am also logged in to the forum

If I log out from the blog, I am also logged out of the forum

If I change my password on one it is changed on both

The problem is,

If I log in to smf forum > I am not logged in to the blog
If I log in to the blog > Logout button on the forum doesnt log me out (of either forum or blog)

So the problem is only with SMF login/logout

Anyone have a clue to the problem?

I managed to install SMF_Wordpress using the package manager

by unzipping the files and then creating a tar.gz archive

But the installation basically only added the changes again that I had done manually.


It gives an error
8: Undefined index: cookielength
File: /Users/patrick/Sites/forum/Sources/SMF_Wordpress.php
Line: 106

So I changed cookielength to 0

but still have the login/logout problem on the forum

I found a plugin for wordpress, called WP&SMF

which said to use SMF_Wordpress on the simple machines side.

I couldnt find SMF_Wordpress on the mod site so I googled it, and found it attached to a forum post.

Just noticed that when I log in to the forum, and then click login on the blog

I get a message "please login again".  Which suggests to me that the login is not being accepted through the blogs security.

I suspect this is something to do with secret keys in wordpress,

The code asks to enter a secret key, but there are four different ones in the blog settings and one in the  blog database.

I think this may be because of a change to the wordpress code in a recent upgrade

so I am going to post this over on wordpress.
