I am testing this in 2.0b4.

I have problems with templates (also,I have the problems that someone posted here early): I can't run any template that is not the default in my forum.Even if I select "clean" template,I only get my default template.Any help?.
BTW,can every blog have his own template? can SMF templates be used in blogs, such as the default one,but without being by default?.

Thanks.

A zCommunity page has to be "layerless" (without the forum template layers) to use the Clean - One theme.  This is because there isn't a Clean - One theme for your forum (just zCommunity).  Yes every blog can have its own theme.  You'll have to either make some new ones yourself or wait til others make some.  To make zCommunity use your forum's theme, you'll have to make a zCommunity theme that looks the same as the rest of your forum.

I am using zCommunity and I have Headline news theme set as my default theme for my forum and I set it for default in the blog settings and it now uses this theme for the community blogs.

You have to make sure you go into the global settings and each bloggers settings and make sure you uncheck the block for forum layers to get this to work properly.

So how do we get other themes to show up in zCommunity to be able to have folks use them as well. I have other themes for the forum but they do not show in the community.

Thanks!!! :)

Hi Charles,

I didn't notice this :    :-[

"Upload the zCommunity folder (from the compressed archive package that ends with __files) to your forum's main directory *BEFORE* installing the changes to your SMF Forum via the package manager installation package."

Then i delete the files concerned by installation of the package and i replace them by the backups files(~) but i still get this message:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Is it talking to you ?

Please help, more then 1000 people 'll be waiting for the forum(vers 1.1.7). :'(

thanks,
Giovanni

Uh......... I have no idea how to help you... There could have been any number of things you messed up that were unrelated to zCommunity.  Some of those backup files might have caused several other mods you had installed to break.  It doesn't sound like the problems are zCommunity related.

Two things that would be nice:

1-With "show forum layers" enabled,It would be nice that, inside blogs,It didn't show the header. Is it possible? I mean...use the default template BUT without header.

2-The possibility to put "blocks" in two columns (right and left),not only right OR left.Even up and down too,but right and left is ok.

I cant seem to set permissions. I can click the checkbox, but it doesn't really save.  Guests seem to be enabled by default, but if I log out, it tells me there are no blogs to view. I log in and can see them.

SMF version?  Also, there are a number of things that can make a blog invisible to a user (blog could be hidden, the user's member group could not have access to that blog and the individual user doesn't have access).

I finally got the mod up and running.  It's a fantastic Blog mod.  The only problem that I've found is that after I create a  blog with the first entry, I get an error when trying to add a second entry.  You can "preview" the 2nd entry just fine, but when you try to post it, you get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ARRAY in /homepages/35/d171960345/htdocs/mywebsite/zCommunity/Sources/Subs-Comments.php on line 150

This is what's on line 150:  array(

Does anyone know how I can correct this?

I already have the blogs using my default theme. My question is:  I want all of the themes I have to offer on my forum available for members to choose in their blogs but it only shows Clean and default. How can you offer all of the themes you have available on your forum in the blogs??

EX: Clean, Default, Dilber, Headlins, Blue Ace, etc.

Thanks  :)

This bug has been fixed in 0.7.5 Alpha (which is now available)

I was able to fix it.  There was a missing comma.  The only other problem I've found is that when you create a poll, it doesn't show up anywhere.  But that's no big thing.  I'll just disable the poll feature.

This is one of the best mods I've found so far.

You have to enable a blog's Poll window for it to be visible.  What I did to make this more intuitive for 0.7.5 was to not add the Start Poll link to your options if a blog's Poll window is disabled.

I'm trying disable the poll feature of my Blog.  I've gone into the admin configuration and unchecked everything in the poll section, but the poll option still appears on the right hand side of my blogs.  I don't have any use for polls in my blog.   Besides, I already have the poll feature in my board.  Can anyone tell me how to stop this from showing?

Thanks in advance.

Just don't allow users to post polls (it's a permission in the Permission tab of your control panel), and leave the Polls window disabled for your blog(s).

Anything is possible.  I'll put it on the list.  It's not high on the list right now, though.

I am presently working on project pages for zCommunity on my website.  There will be a place for plug-ins and themes.  Before you ask me for an ETA on that, I really cannot say yet.  Presently working on a secure downloads set of scripts (download keys, etc).  Just keep checking here and my site for updates on this.
