I've got this great mod running on my test forum and I have just one problem.  When you go to the blog page, the only avatar that displays, is the administrator's.  Down the left hand side of the listed blogs there is nothing showing, except for the admin's avatar.  Is there somewhere that I can enable the avatars for all members?

Thanks in advance.

A screen shot would give me an idea of what's going on exactly.

@ PerryM ... where is the zCommunity folder located relative to your forum's primary index.php file?
Here's a screen shot of my blogs page.  The entry with the picture is the admin's.  The other's are just test users I created.  Their avatar's won't show.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

How are their avatars set up?  (is the image uploaded from a computer to the server or is it taken from a remote address)

The admin avatar was uploaded from my computer.  The other 2 user's avatar are from the smf installation.

Problem with permission. Blogger can't access to the blog's control panel. Сan't create an article in his blog, but can edit.

Where can i set that the zCommunity is my "homepage" instead of the Forum itself?

When i'm ready with all, i will translate the whole blog into german-utf8, and upload the files.  ;)

You have to edit some things in your smf sources files and the main index.php.  I'll make a Tips & Tricks section which will contain a How To for doing this (can't give an ETA on this right now, though).

Can you please say what to edit?

I don't need e complete tutorial, only a short input. ;-)

Are you sure they are the owner (you can see who the owner is in the Blog Settings tab for that blog in the control panel)?  If they aren't the owner they have to be on the "Users allowed to post articles" list or be in a member group that is allowed to post articles (look under the Posting Restrictions tab of the blog in the control panel for the allowed to post articles lists).

Hoi Charles,

Great mode. I have installed te latest version of zc.
But i have a problem with tinyportal 0.98

I can't hide the blogs..

Maybe you have an idea how i can do that.

Thanx

Kindred

ok. 0.7.7 installed

the blogs that I imported from boards assigned me as owner.
I then used the re=assign function to assign the correct owners of the blogs.

however, the owners can not see the "write article" links or the "blog admin" link...   it looks like the system doesn't really se them as the owner.

Also, each time someone goes to a blog, I get the following set of errors in my logs

http://SITE/index.php?zc

Ya I suppose I neglected to test things thoroughly from varying user perspectives...  I'll run some tests and debug things for non-admin users.  As for the file function errors... I am not all that experienced with file permissions and such... yet.  I am about to get to work on finishing off the processing of file uploads via zCommunity's form processing function, so I'll figure it out.

I get that problem too. Yeah it does seem that the write permission isn't added to the permission list for regula user's.

OK, on my test smf 2b4 forum, I just uploaded avatars for my test users and they show on the blog page just fine.  It's the avatars that come with smf and you select from your profile pages that don't show up in the blog.  They show up in the forums just fine.  Anyone else having this problem?

I  updated from 0.75 to 0.77 and now some options in control panel doesn't show properly (the template is "cutted",for example in themes,preferences,global settings,etc).

Hi, thanks for the zCommunity, the mod is really great, though it might be a bit better if it had smf's wysiwyg post box.

Cheers!

Going to be a while before I implement a wysiwyg editor...

Found the problem... In zCommunity/zc.php ... Find the following and delete it:
$context['is_blog_owner'] = false;

Find the following in zCommunity/Sources/Load.php:
if (empty($blog) && empty($article))
return false;

Paste the following code after the above code:

$context['is_blog_owner'] = false;

@jayman2 ... still working on it.
